"My designs are known for their beautiful ornamentation, details, fabrics and embroideries," Oscar de la Renta once said of his iconic collections. Today, Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia - who honed their skills under the iconic founder's tenure - head up the brand as Co-Creative Directors, bringing a fresh vision to a label renowned for its exquisite gowns and accessories.

HOW - to- WEAR

If we were to redress the fashionable crowd Oscar de la Renta would be our first pick. It was a trip to New York City's Botanical Garden that sparked the inspiration for Oscar de la Renta's Resort '23 collection - this coat is adorned with cutout flowers, each one embroidered and lightly padded to mimic the natural texture of petals. It's made from crepe in a vibrant 'Hyacinth' hue and has a relaxed shape for easy layering.

When designing Oscar de la Renta's Resort '23 collection, Creative Directors Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia looked to the work of 16th-century botanist and horticulturist Charles de l'Écluse.

This sweater is spun from soft cotton and crochet-knitted with colourful blooming roses. It has ribbed trims and wispy fringing along the hem.

Oscar de la Renta's glamorous jumpsuit is cut from silk-blend plissé-lamé that sparkles from every angle, making it perfect for highly photographed events. Designed with optional sweeping neckties, it has a gathered bodice with billowy sleeves and is fitted at the waist before falling to straight legs.

From the high Victorian neckline to the vibrant florals, Oscar de la Renta's blouse has a romantic, vintage feel. It's cut from cotton-blend poplin in a loose silhouette that's gathered along the yoke and cuffs for volume and turns to reveal a dramatic open back. Underpin yours with adhesive cups.

Oscar de la Renta's turtleneck sweater is decorated with glistening crystal and faux pearl embellishments throughout, giving the cozy piece a glamorous feel.
